In order to maintain standards regarding customer service in relation to our clients, it is the policy of D’Arcy & Co, Solicitors, Kildare to require that we are satisfied that we hold up to date instructions from clients. This is achieved either by contact with clients in the normal course of the relevant case at least every 2 months (unless there is a specific circumstance of the case that means such contact is not required) or contact from the client in response to a request from us to update instructions.

Where we feel clients’ instructions are not being maintained, then it is our policy to explore with the clients closing off the file due to lack of instructions. We find that this helps to avoid confusion about whether the case is still open and confusion about our role in such cases. It also helps with efficiency in processing cases generally.
